Back Again

I never thought I come back to play online poker, but circumstances have change and I am back.

A new 10$ deposit and the experiment continues.

My Greatest Comeback

Last night was one of my greatest come back of all time. Let me set the scenario...there was 3 of us left in the game and i just lost my last 2000 chips to 175. One player had 8000 and the other 4000.
So next hand I go all in...and surprise surprise win 400 chips. I Next hand all in and I win. but slowly got my self back to 2000 chips. The dude next to me tilted, think was annoyed with me and about a few hands later I was heads up with the chip leader.

Few games later I cleaned him up too.

The moral of the story never give up in Poker, cause if you continue playing good hands you will win.

First PokerStars Check

My first ever Pokerstars Check. On the 15th May I requested my check, and couple days later as you can see I received my first check.
So for you Aussies out there without Neteller, here is prove that if you request this method you receive you money.

However since cashing in my first check, my game has gone a bit backwards, with only 15$ left in my pokerstar account. I have to get back to the basics and rethink my strategy again.

80$ Mark reach

Well another week and I hit another milestone in my quest. 80$ mark has been reached.
I have to admit it is very slow going but it is definitely training me up for the larger games and building the bank roll.

It is quite interesting, majority of the time you can sit and just watch the game go by and still be in the money. Why? People just knock themselves out.

Who knows what is going in some people's mines. Some people just should not be playing.

2 Week Update

The bank roll is finally rolling again. I am up to 75$ from the initial 10$ I started about two months ago. It is slow going but generally it has been going alright.

The funny thing about poker, when people lose they always make excuses. They never look at their own game play but call you things like "amateur", maybe they are right, but in the context of things I still beat you. Which makes even more sweeter when you know you have out play them.

So I guess would it be better just to turn chat off? Sometimes they say things make me change my game slightly...but perhaps it is their tactics.

Anyone reading this blog can see you can make money if you play well. I am an amateur, for an amateur who started about 2 months ago, I think I have done well without losing any money.

Tilt and Win

Well I am only playing once a week now...so there haven't been much movement in the Bank roll. Today I suffered real tilt, 3 fourth place in a row after 3 hours of play really jack me off. My gosh. Then I went into a 3$ tourney, waste of my bank roll.

My last game of the day was pretty good. Mainly thanks to my girl friend, who calm me down. Second hand All In...dam could have lost pretty badly. Slowly I tuned in to my original game and my style, constantly changing my game play but it did work well.

A special mention to "KillaBuffa" & "Cammy Cam", it was interesting talking to people when playing...it made it more fun. It was interesting and I actually enjoyed the chat. I think we all enjoyed the game. It was good to win after 8 losses in a row. I think 4 was just tilt.

A note to myself, play on good hands if you have it, especially when there is 4 people. Lost twice cause I didnt go all in. Both flops gave me the nuts, really bad. That took a lot out of me.

Bankroll hit 50$ Tonight

Well I cannot believe it. I have hit 50$ already in my quest for building my bank roll, which is quite amazing for playing 1$ games.

How long will I play at the 1$ tables you may ask? Until my bank roll reaches between 200-500$ I believe. I want a good period where I keep practicing and continue to have a solid game. It is not about the money.

I was reading over at Coin Flip Poker about Sit n Go Strategy, and in particular where it mention about tracking your play. (Can read it here) Well I have started doing this in an Excel Sheet. This awesome tip especially if you want to improve your game.

Some interesting facts
  • 82% of the time I finish in top 3 (Money spots)
  • 20% of the time I finish first
  • $19.80 in winnings
Keeping track of progress is something I highly recommend. If you have been reading my other blog Money Making Experiments in December I wrote an entry called Financial Freedom Diary
where you can see another example of tracking and the benefits it brings. Especially if you can bring up statistics about different factors.
